Lisa writes a twice-monthly gear column for Outside and manages multiple categories of Outside Gear Guides, including co-leading the road and trail running shoe guides, and heading up guides for hydration vests, sports bras, and women’s summer and winter running apparel. She’s constantly testing gear while she runs, hikes, paddles, snowboards, swims, camps, cross country skis, surfs, plays beach volleyball, travels, and generally adventures around her Boulder, Colorado home and whenever she’s anywhere near a beach, which is often.
