Drew Zieff

Drew Zieff is a Tahoe-based freelance writer and globe-trotting powderhound who directs Outside's snowboard and splitboard coverage in the winters. Before he put roots down in Tahoe, he was a full-time vanlifer, and he currently conducts our men's shell and car camping accessories tests in the summers. He's also Backcountry Magazine's Rider-in-Chief, where he directs the magazine's splitboard test, and covers outdoor gear, culture, travel, and more for Whitelines Snowboarding, Gear Junkie, REI, Popular Mechanics, Forbes, among others.
